Summary

1-      a new pop music group from one of the town's secondary schools played on TV.

2-      A pop music group is a group of people who sing and play modern popular music

3-      It was the first time  a music grou[ fro the school had appeared on TV..

4-      The boy were very happy with their performance.

5-      They had not yet found a name for their group.

6-      A name for the music group will be found by suggestions.

Things were better then

In the writer's opinion life was quieter thirty years ago.

There was no noise from air conditionrs, fast cars and jet planes

In his opinion, we do not need TV.

He also believes that fresh fish fro the sea is better than fish fro the fridge.

He misses the old days.

Public opinion.

The second letter الخطاب الثاني

Things are better now

·         In the writer's opinion, we need TV. He thinks htat TV teaches us a lot.

·         He thinks that the first writer is wrong about food.

·          He totally disagrees with him about the new roads.

·         Thirty years ago journeys could take days. Now we can drive anywhere in the country in a few hours.

·          He also thinks that life in the past was difficult.

1^st  Passer-by

·         It's not true that young people are lazy and selfish.

·         He and his friends are not lazy.

·         They want to work but they can't get jobs .

·         The truth is  that the older generation don't care about young people.

2^nd passer –by

·         He agrees with the reporter totally that young people arelazy and selfish

·         Young people don't want to work although there are plenty of jobs.

·          Young people just want to have a good time

3^rd passer-by

·         He doesn't agee with the reporter.

·         He knows a lot of young people who are kind and helpful.

·         In his opinion, young people are wonderful.

4^th passer-by

·         He has no answer to that because all young people are not the same. Some are lazy and some are not.

·         In his opinion, it's the same with middle aged people and older people.
