زمن الماضي البسيطPast Simple Tense

*الاستخدام:

1- يستخدم للتعبير عن أحداث منتهية في الماضي مثل:

- Last year, he succeed ded.

- Ali Went to Canada last year.

2- الوصف في الماضي مثل:                                            

Describing in the past

- We Saw an interesting film yesterday.

3- الروايات والقصص والتاريخ مثل: 

 Novels and History

- We Saw an interesting film yesterday.

* Structure:                             تركيب الجملة في زمن الماضي البسيط

 في الجملة المثبتة                                :1) Affirmative  

Subject + verb (past) + complement

*Time expressions:                                            دلائـــل الزمـــن

· yesterdayأمس                        –  last …… السابق

· ……… ago    منذ كذا     _  the day beforeاليوم الأول

مُـــلاحظــــــة:إذا كان زمن الجملة ماضي بسيط نضيف للفعل (ed) إذا كان منتظم (قياسي)

 أما إذا كان الفعل غير قياسي (شاذ) فنحوله إلى التصريف الثاني.

 Examples :

· Ali went to Canada last year.

· The dog barked a lot yesterday.

· The dentist pulled out my tooth two days ago.

· I cut my finger last night.

 النفي  :3) Negative  

S + didn't +  V  +  C

عند نفي الجملة في هذا الزمن نضيف (didn’t) بعد الفاعل ويعود الفعل الرئيسي  إلى أصله .

Examples :

· I didn't meet them yesterday.

· The police didn't see the criminal two hours ago.

· The teacher didn't answer the phone in the class last period.

· She didn't find the knife yesterday.

 الاستفهام) Interrogative  3

A ) أسئلة (نعم  أو  لا )       Yes, No  questionsِA)

نضع Did   قبل الفاعل أي في بداية الجملة ويعود الفعل إلى أصله:

Did + S + V + C  ?

The answerالإجابة:          ➻ Yes, S + did

                             ➻ No, S + did not

Examples :

A.     Did they tell you the news yesterday?

B.     Yes, they did.

A.     Did Salma open the can last night?

B.     No, She didn't

B) أسئلة المعلومات                                B) W-H questions  

Wh + did + S + V + C?

Examples:

A.     Where did you go yesterday?

B.     I went to the park.

A.     When did he visit you?

B.     He visited me two days ago.

A.     What did she buy last night?

B.     She bought a scarf.
